Location of Equatorial GuineaAlthough the current flag was established at the time of independence in 1968, there was a period when the design was changed by a new dictatorial administration, but the current one revived in 1979. Green represents the natural resources, white, peace, red, war for independence, blue, the sea that connects the island and inland regions.
