Flag of Equatorial Guinea

Although the current flag was established at the time of independence in 1968, there was a period when the design was changed by a new dictatorial administration, but the current one revived in 1979. Green represents the natural resources, white, peace, red, war for independence, blue, the sea that connects the island and inland regions. In the center is depicted the national emblem, with six stars that represent the five islands and the inland regions and also "Tree of Gods" or the national tree, kapok tree.
