Location of GeorgiaThe red crosses in the respective corners are the symbol of St. Geroge, the patron saint of Georgia. The red crosses depicted in the four corners represent the four Evangelists St. Mathews, St. Mark, St. Lucas, and St. John, and all together, is called the Cross of Jerusalem. The silver base (white) represents innocence, purity, cleansing, brightness, and red, courage, bravery, justice, and love. The current design was also used in the middle ages.
