Location of SerbiaThe current flag is a republican flag was established during the Serbia Montenegro days in 2004, separately from the federal flag. The main parts of the national emblem is depicted with Slavic colored tones. Like many Slavic nations that use horizontally divided flags of red, blue, and white, Serbia as well used a bright blue, white, and red tricolor flag during the Montenegro federation days, a tricolor flag with red stars during the Yugoslavia days, and as such has used multiple versions of the tricolor during different periods.
