A small country located on the slopes of the Pyrenees Mountains between the French and Spanish borders. The flag uses the vertically divided design of the French flag while also using the red and yellow colors of the Spanish flag. The emblem in the center is a miter and a crosier that symbolizes the Spanish Bishop Urgell, who was the historical figure in the Andora Principality. The three colored flag was used in 1866, and the current flag with its national emblem was established as the national flag in 1996.
