Flag of Republic of Congo

The three African color flag was established in 1958 as a flag of an autonomous republic, two years before independence, and was kept the same after independence. During the socialistic administration, the nation changed names to People's Republic of Congo, and the flag also changed to a red one, but in 1991, when the multiple party system was implemented, the former flag revived. Green represents the forest resources, yellow, the underground resources, and red, the passion of youth toward the nation.
