This flag was originally used in the Kingodom of Libya (1951-1969), and with the fall of the Gaddafi dictatorship on February 27th 2011, the anti-Gaddafi interim administration and the National Transitional Council reinstated the design. During the Gaddafi administration, pro-monarchy Libyans used the flag for resistance movements. Red represents strength, black, the Islamic battle, green, admiration for green lands, and white, the conduct of the citizens.
